The Government has just annouced plans for a national British Armed Forces and Veterans Day to enhance public awareness and appreciation of the Armed Forces. What do you think??

Gordon visits Blackpool Shrine

Gordon visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes on Whinney Heys Road in Blackpool. He and neighbouring MP Joan Humble went to the Chapel to have a look at the scheme to restore the building.

Gordon said “It’s great to see this historic site being preserved. I look forward to seeing the roof and other parts of the chapel once the work is underway.”

“This is a historic part of our town and I’m glad it is being repaired with help from English Heritage”.
