Local Heroes

My office team in Blackpool and I spend a lot of time trying to help people out and get them the right support and advice. But without the help of so many unsung heroes that we come across in the schools, hospitals, colleges, charities and private life, we could not provide that support to vulnerable people half as well.

That prompted me to think about how many dedicated and committed people there are who deserve to be noticed and thanked for the good that they do in our town. So I set up my Local Heroes competition - you can nominate someone who you think has made a real difference in your community.
